WATCH: Traffic enforcer hangs on for life as motorist flees apprehension

A traffic enforcer just had the ride of his life — one that could have caused him to lose it.

A Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) enforcer was hurt after attempting to chase down on foot an erring motorist who, in turn, fled in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Saturday.

CCTV footage caught much of the incident where the traffic enforcer, identified as Adrian Lim, was seen hanging by the car window of a speeding Mitsubishi Xpander after attempting to flag down its driver Orlando Ricardo Jr. at around 9:45 a.m.

According to an MTPB spot report, Lim eventually fell off the MPV along Gelinos Street near Laong-Laan Road.

The suspect was later apprehended at the corner of Oroquieta St. and Tayuman St. in Barangay 366 in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

Ricardo is facing charges of serious physical injury and hit and run, according to MTPB director Dennis Viaje.

Philippine Red Cross who responded to the incident took the enforcer to the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center.

Authorities have yet to release a comprehensive report on what led to the incident.
