Four people died while 10 others were injured after a pickup truck rammed eight vehicles in a bid to get away from a prior vehicular incident in Bocaue, Bulacan on Monday.

According to Bocaue Police Chief Police Lt. Col. Rizalino Andaya, a black Mitsubishi Strada rammed through vehicles along Mc Arthur Highway around 12:30 p.m. as the driver of the pickup truck was running away from the scene of a prior incident nearby.

The driver crashed against four motorcycles, two tricycles, an L300 van and an SUV.

The police official said that four of the 10 injured are in critical condition. One of the victims got pinned by the head under the pickup truck after it fell on its side.

The driver of the pickup truck, identified as Fernando Salvador Roxas, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Roxas is facing criminal charges while authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. – Joy Cantos, Ramon Lazaro
