Motorists can now enjoy a smoother ride along NLEX-SCTEX as NLEX Corporation recently completed the pavement repair of more than 140,000 square meter section of the expressway.
The company said that the pavement maintenance works, which started in February, involved the asphalt overlay and patching works in 109,886-square meter section of the North Luzon Expressway and 31,600-square meter section of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway.
“Each year, we strive to fulfill our obligation to provide our customers with the best service. With the completion of the pavement repair program, we are optimistic that our motorists will have a safer and smoother drive,” NLEX Corporation president and general manager J. Luigi L. Bautista said.
He noted that the expressway also undergoes regular repairs such as crack mapping and sealing, pothole patching “to keep it in tiptop shape, guarantee a seamless travel experience and extend the road’s serviceable lifespan.”
“All the enhancements that we are doing stemmed from our regular inspections and of course, from the feedback of motorists. It has been our practice to check the pulse of our customers so that anything that needs improvement must be implemented,” Bautista said.
Aside from this project, the company said that it is also undertaking the rehabilitation of Meycauayan and Bigaa bridges in Bulacan. This entails the replacement of the bridges’ girders and slabs to improve the structures.
The company is also building the first five-kilometer section of the NLEX Connector between Caloocan and España Interchanges. This elevated expressway project is expected to accommodate around 35,000 motorists daily.
