Here’s a bit of good news for motorists who frequently pass through Elliptical Road in Quezon City: all lanes of the thoroughfare are now open to vehicular traffic.
In an advisory, the local government of Quezon City said that traffic situation along Elliptical Road and Commonwealth Avenue is expected to improve starting Monday since motorists can now pass through all of the lanes of the thoroughfare.
Some lanes were temporarily closed to make way for the construction of the MRT Line 7 at the corner of Elliptical Road and North Avenue, which caused traffic jams in the area.
Meanwhile, the zipper lane along Commonwealth Avenue will remain open while the local government continues to monitor the traffic situation.
That means motorists can still use the zipper lane along the highway starting 6:00 a.m. until 11 a.m. from Mondays to Fridays.
