Car on fire triggers EDSA traffic

A sedan caught fire on EDSA-Magallanes, triggering a traffic in Makati on Friday.

According to a report from The STAR, smoke issued from the engine bay of a Hyundai Accent owned by Manolo Labor around 1 p.m.

Labor was on his way to the airport from the University of the Philippines in Diliman when the incident occurred.

The fire was extinguished at 1:14 p.m., and the car was later removed from the highway by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority around 2 p.m.

The incident caused heavy traffic up to Timog Avenue in Quezon City.
