FOTON delivers mobility solutions with new Davao dealership

In its most recent move to strengthen its position as a top commercial vehicle and passenger van company, United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI) inaugurated its 29th dealership in the Philippines, and its fourth in Mindanao.

Autohub Group, which also operates FOTON GMA in Cavite, was awarded the dealership seated on a nearly 3,000-square-meter site along the stretch of Panacan, Davao. The showroom was strategically located in the hub of economic activity in the region, the Davao Seaport, as well as the Davao International Airport.

“We are thrilled to see the new FOTON Davao City come to life. Thanks to Autohub Group’s continued drive and trust towards UAAGI. We commend them for this tremendous facility that will deliver notable and holistic sales, aftersales, and marketing approach to the Davaoeños,” said UAAGI and FOTON Philippines president Rommel Sytin.

FOTON Davao can display six passenger vehicles inside their showroom. It also houses a separate display area for FOTON’s heavy duty trucks that can accommodate four units. Fully equipped to provide efficient aftersales service, they have dedicated six service bays for passenger vehicles, and seven more for commercial trucks

Autohub Group president and FOTON Davao dealer principal Willy Tee Ten said, “FOTON’s vehicle line of both private cars and most especially its wide range of commercial trucks, is the perfect partner to the city and region’s growing economy.  It’s ‘Kayang-Kaya’ price range in particular, is a testament to FOTON’s commitment to support the SMEs as well as large enterprises.”

With the fact that major infrastructure projects are slated in the region such as the Davao International Airport Development Project, the Sasa Port Modernization, the Davao City Bypass Road Construction Project, and the Samal Island-Davao City Connector Project, Tee Ten proudly shared, “We are therefore confident that Davao is the ideal location to establish a FOTON dealership at this opportune time.”

For the commercial vehicle segment, FOTON has been well known in the provinces for its Gratour MT and Tornado light duty trucks. Not only do these workhorses are built with various body configurations suitable for any type of delivery — these are also made available at affordable prices, with ensured capability to transport supplies without compromising the quality of delivery and condition of the cargo.

Transport services also had the brand in demand for its passenger vans. FOTON offers a wide range of selection for both private and commuter vehicles — from the TransVan that has the 13 to 16 seater variants, the Traveller which can accommodate up to 19 passengers and the Toano which is well-known to be a VIP van for its luxurious, homey, and passenger entertainment-bred interiors.

“We know how significant businesses are in the Davao region, and we will keep on making ways to provide exceptional products to fulfill the needs of these enterprises. Aside from that, we also look forward to giving efficient aftersales services to our customers. It’s equally important as sales, and we believe that the Davaoeños deserve to be given quality assistance from start to finish,” added a confident president Sytin.

FOTON Philippines closed the year with a growth of four percent compared to 2018 sales figure.
