With a well-rounded lineup that ranges from a small sedan to a premium seven-seat crossover, and even offering vehicles for commercial use, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai passenger and commercial vehicles in the Philippines, sure knows how to maximize its firepower to dominate the auto industry.
In fact, HARI has ranked highly, securing the fourth spot in YTD sales as the country entered the final quarter of the year. The company isn’t slowing down, defining what “Better Normal Mobility” is all about at the 2020 Manila International Auto Show’s online version, MIAS Wired.
HARI is showcasing its impressive line-up of vehicles that has won the hearts and minds of many Filipinos, offering fresh options for their mobility needs with the theme CONNEXT.
“The theme CONNEXT is only fitting since the Hyundai brand has really forged deep ties with Filipino consumers through its impressive line-up of vehicles and services. I am proud to say that thousands of Filipinos start their daily journeys with a Hyundai. Also, the theme underscores the digital revolution happening in HARI and the entire industry. Through MIAS WIRED 2020, we will be able to reach out to more customers despite the distance and physical barriers,” HARI president and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo said.
Taking centerstage at MIAS Wired are the Starex, Accent, Kona, and Reina, but the frontliner for its virtual showroom is the newly launched Hyundai Venue.
Debuted by the end of October, the Venue stands as the smallest Hyundai crossover to date. With the Venue’s dynamic, nostalgia-inducing exterior design, it’s obvious that it has a younger set of demographics in mind. Perfect for young professionals and those young at heart, the new subcompact crossover features a huge cascading grille with three-dimensional effects. The sides and the rear aren’t in any way stale, with the taillights highlighting a Z graphic for accents.
Despite the minute size, the Venue doesn’t compromise cabin space with ample space for four people. The layout’s flexible, as well, with the second-row backrest folding flat to allow an expansive rear cargo hold.
As it is intended for the young set of car buyers, tech toys aren’t short with the new Venue. The eight-inch floating touchscreen infotainment features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the fascia offers a clean yet accentuated layout, housing an automatic climate control by the center.
As for the commercial lineup, Hyundai combines the need for a business partner with the HD36L Maxculado light-duty truck. It has an extended wheelbase and longer cargo bed can accommodate an 11-foot rear deck, while its light chassis is giving it a 1.7-ton payload capacity.
The Hyundai COUNTY, on the other hand, is a premium minibus intended for mass transport businesses. It boasts a swing-out type door for easy ingress and egress, semi-cloth upholstered seats for firm yet gentle support, deluxe cargo space to stow extra luggage, and nifty overhead shelves for handy storage.
And in support of the Better Normal Mobility, HARI is also showcasing its trio of modern PUVs: the H-100 Modern Jeepney Class 1, HD50S Modern Jeepney Class 2, and HD50S Modern Jeepney Class 3 — all fully compliant with the Philippine National Standards (PNS) set for the Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) Modernization Program of the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
The Hyundai experience will not be complete without its award-winning After Sales service. The ground-breaking Hyundai Five-Year Unlimited Warranty Program remains the much-copied but never beaten industry standard, while Jet Service, now Fast Track, has evolved as the speedier version of Hyundai’s quick Preventive Maintenance service.
