A traffic rerouting scheme will be implemented while several roads will also be closed to give way for the celebration of the 123rd anniversary of the martyrdom of Jose Rizal, along with the Black Nazarene thanksgiving procession on Monday. 

According to the Manila Police District (MPD), both lanes of Roxas Boulevard from Katigbak and TM Kalaw streets will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until the conclusion of the program at the Rizal Park.

Light vehicles going to the south from Del Pan Bridge-Pier Zone are advised to take a left turn at Burgos Street then right at Maria Orosa to their destinations.

Heavy vehicles coming from Del Pan Bridge are advised to take a left turn at P. Burgos to Finance Road, straight to Ayala Boulevard then right to San Marcelino Street to their destinations.

Light vehicles going northbound on Roxas Boulevard from P. Ocampo are advised to take a right turn at President Quirino Avenue to their destinations.

All vehicles coming from MacArthur Bridge, Jones Bridge, and Quezon Bridge en route to the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard may take Maria Orosa or Taft Avenue.

Meanwhile, the southbound lane of Quezon Boulevard in Quiapo from A. Mendoza and Fugoso to Plaza Miranda will be closed at around 8:30 p.m. Additionally, the eastbound lane of CM Recto from Rizal Avenue to Sergio Loyola will be closed to traffic.

Vehicles coming from Quezon City utilizing the southbound lane of España Avenue shall turn right to P. Campa Street, left to A. Mendoza Street, right to Fugoso Street, and left to Rizal Avenue to their destinations.

All vehicles intending to take Quezon Boulevard coming from A. Mendoza Street shall turn right to Fugoso, thenleft to Rizal Avenue.

All vehicles using the eastbound lane of CM Recto Avenue coming from Divisoria shall turn left to their destinations.

MPD’s public information chief Lt. Colonel Carlo Magno Manuel said that the closing and opening of affected roads will be based on actual traffic conditions. – Rey Galupo
