The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced that the Kennon Road will be opened to Baguio City-bound motorists every weekend starting today.
According to its advisory, the DPWH said that the road will be opened to traffic every weekend until further notice, saying that motorists may utilize the road starting 6 a.m. today up to Monday at 6 p.m.
However, the agency reminded motorists that vehicles weighing more than five tons should take Marcos Highway or Asin-Nangalisan-San Pascua-Rizal-Anduyan Road. It also posted a 20kph speed limit and advised motorists to stay on the right lane of the road.
Should there be weather disturbances, the Kennon Road will immediately be closed upon the recommendation of the Kennon Road Task Group.
