The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that traffic adjustments will be implemented starting today to pave the way for the ongoing construction of the Skyway Extension.
In an advisory, the MMDA said that a one-way traffic scheme will be in effect beginning Feb. 16 at 6 a.m. on the southbound lane of South Luzon Expressway’s West Service Road from Alabang Hills to Alabang Zapote Road to give way to the construction of the Skyway Extension from Hillsborough to Filinvest Exit.
The agency also announced that the Skyway–Hillsborough off-ramp will be closed to traffic while class 2 vehicles such as buses and delivery vans from Magallanes to Alabang are prohibited along the elevated Skyway.
Additionally, a one-way traffic scheme will be implemented on the northbound lane of Alabang’s temporary steel ramp from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. daily. The same traffic scheme will also be in effect along Skyway from Sucat Interchange to Alabang-Zapote Road as well as the southbound lane of the Alabang temporary steel ramp.
Affected motorists plying the northbound lane are advised to take the Alabang viaduct at grade level.
