Chery PH donates food products to PNP Rektang Bayanihan Food Bank Project

Chery Auto Philippines distributor United Asia Auto Group Inc. (UAAGI), recently turned over rice, canned goods, and other food products to the Philippine National Police as part of the PNP’s “Rektang Bayanihan” Food Bank Project for the poor.

The project’s aim is to bring food to the poorest of the poor particularly in rural areas — made more critical in these times due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The turnover of the food products was held in the PNP’s Camp Olivas in Pampanga, where representatives from Chery Auto Philippines were welcomed by PNP Region 3 Director Gen. Rhodel Sermonia.

Chery Auto Philippines has been supporting the PNP’s Rektang Bayanihan Food Bank Project since the start of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in mid-March.

The Chery Auto brand is reentering the Philippine market with a slew of contemporary crossovers, from the subcompact Tiggo 2 and Tiggo 5X, the compact Tiggo 7, to the midsize 7-seater Tiggo 8. All have 1.5-liter DOHC 16-valve EFI VVT engines (turbocharged for the Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8) and have automatic transmissions on all models (MT available on the Tiggo 2 and Tiggo 5X).

Bank-approved financing packages with zero down payment and zero monthly amortizations are available to help those who want to assure themselves of personal mobility in this pandemic.
