The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) will temporarily suspend LRT-1 operations from August 4 to 18 following the government’s decision to revert Metro Manila to a more stricter modified enhanced community quarantine.
In a release, the LRMC said that commercial operations of LRT-1 will be adjusted on August 3 in order to prepare for the transition and allow their operations personnel to travel home safely.
Following the announcement, the LRMC said that the last trip at the Baclaran station will leave at 9:30 p.m. while the last train at Roosevelt station will leave at 9:45 p.m.
“LRMC is ready to continue enforcing strict health and safety measures upon the resumption of mass public transport services by the government,” it said.
Following the government’s declaration, public transportation will not be allowed once again in areas under MECQ for two weeks starting August 4.
