LTFRB halts walk-in transactions during MECQ, offers online portal

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) announced today that the agency will temporarily halt walk-in transactions in its Central and National Capital Region (NCR) office during the two-week “modified” enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).

In compliance with MECQ policies that require only 50 percent of the workforce to physically report in the office, the LTFRB will be implementing a skeletal workforce and a Work-From-Home (WFH) scheme.

The entire NCR, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal and Bulacan was reverted back to MECQ status until August 18 after the government heeded the ‘time-out’ call from frontline health workers.

Instead of walk-in transactions, the agency advises the public to file their transactions online using the Public Transportation Online Processing System (PTOPS) virtual portal.

Using the website (https://ncr-ltfrb.pisopay.com.ph/en), the following transactions can be done:

  • Request for Special Permit
  • Correction of Typographical Error;
  • Request for Confirmation of Unit/s;
  • Request for Franchise Verification;
  • Request for Issuance or Extension Provisional Authority;
  • Legal Concerns/Query on Hearing Schedule, Status

For the online filing of requests, the LTFRB directs the public to follow the process below:

1. Download form via the LTFRB website: http://ltfrb.gov.ph/…/mandatory-on-line-filing-of-request-…/

2. Correctly and completely fill out form.

3. Send/file filled out form and needed requirements to the email address concerned.

4. Await result of transaction via email address or regularly check the list of released transactions via LTFRB website: www.ltfrb.gov.ph

The PTOPS was launched by the LTFRB-NCR last June to hasten and improve the ease of doing business, as well as enable stakeholders to finish their transactions even from the comforts of home.
