Metro Pacific Investments Corp. unit MPCALA Holdings Inc. announced that the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has approved the toll rates for the interchanges of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) in Biñan, Laguna.
The company said that the following VAT-inclusive rates will be effective upon the opening of the interchanges at Laguna Bouelvard and Laguna Technopark this August.
Once operational, the interchanges are seen to decongest traffic on Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road and other local service roads in the area since motorists will have access to the Laguna Technopark and an alternative route to Nuvali via the Laguna Boulevard and South Boulevard.
“Opening these interchanges would significantly reduce traffic to and from Laguna, Cavite, Batangas provinces and nearby areas by decongesting Laguna Boulevard and Aguinaldo Highway,” MPCALA president and general manager Roberto V. Bontia said.
The whole stretch of CALAX has nine interchanges in Kawit, Governor’s Drive, Aguinaldo Highway, Silang, Santa Rosa-Tagaytay, Laguna Boulevard, Laguna Technopark, and a Toll Barrier before SLEX.
“Our tollroad and services shall live up to the highest standard to allow our motorists to experience the best possible convenience when travelling to the South,” Bontia said.
CALAX is a 45-kilometer, four-lane expressway that will soon connect the Manila-Cavite Expressway in Kawit City, Cavite to the South Luzon Expressway at Mamplasan Interchange in Biñan.
