Heads up, motorists! Two more U-turn slots along EDSA will be closed starting on Monday.
In an advisory, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced that the U-turn slots near Oliveros Drive and Balintawak Market will be closed beginning November 23.
The agency advised motorists coming from EDSA northbound to southbound to use the Balintawak interchange U-turn slot or the General Malvar/Bagong Barrio U-turn slot while those from southbound going northbound may take the General Tiño U-turn slot.
The closure of U-turn slots is aimed to improve the flow of traffic along the thoroughfare’s designated bus lanes.
The MMDA earlier advised motorists and commuters to brace for traffic jams due to the closure of U-turn slots until the end of 2020.
