LRT-1 shortens trips on December 24, 31

The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) on Tuesday announced that the Light Rail Transit 1 (LRT-1) will implement shortened service hours on December 24 and 31.

In a statement, the LRMC said that the last trips from Baclaran and Balintawak stations on Christmas Eve (December 24) will be until 8:00 p.m. On December 31 (New Year’s Eve), the last trains will leave the stations by 7:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, the LRT-1 will continue to serve passengers on December 25, December 30, and January 1.

The LRMC said that the Roosevelt station will remain temporarily closed until further notice to accommodate the government’s ongoing construction of the Common Station or the Unified Grand Central Station, which will connect the systems of LRT-1, MRT-3, and MRT-7.
