MPT South implements motorist assistance program this Holy Week

Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South) has intensified its motorists assistance program as part of its preparations for the expected high volume of traffic this Holy Week.

From March 28 to April 5, the tollway company said that its customer service centers on CAVITEX, C-5 Link Flyover, and CALAX Greenfield (Mamplasan) will be open 24/7 to address motorists’ concerns. Apart that, these stations will also accept Easytrip RFID installation and reloading.

Meanwhile, emergency medical services will be on-site 24/7 during the period. A free towing service for class 1 vehicles will also be provided to the nearest exit from 6:00 a.m. of March 31 to 6 a.m. of April 5.

“During this ECQ, we continue to remain in 24/7 service for our motorists for their essential travels this Holy Week. Safety is our priority, and so our team will continue to be on standby  on these dates to maintain ease of passage of goods and motorists traversing our expressways. Also, we continue to remind our motorists to practice minimum health protocols such as wearing a mask inside their vehicles to avoid COVID-19 transmission,” MPT South president and general manager Roberto V. Bontia said.

According to Bontia, the tollway company will deploy a total of 78 traffic operations manpower to ensure 24/7 operations in its toll roads. RFID assist and ambulant tellers on cash lanes will also be increased to manage the queue of vehicles in toll plazas.

Aside from the CALAX and CAVITEX network of toll roads, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation’s domestic portfolio includes the concessions for the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), the NLEX Connector Road, the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway and the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway in Cebu.
