Not all motorcycles are allowed on expressways in the Philippines—a food delivery rider almost learned this lesson the hard way but to his luck, motorist Gab Constantino recognized that he must have made a wrong turn, extending a helping hand to the lost rider.
Constantino was driving along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) when he spotted the motorcycle. As the delivery rider made his way curbside, Constantino followed and informed the rider about the mistake. While no enforcers were in sight, Constantino and his companion helped out the rider, carrying the motorcycle in his car until they found a road the rider was allowed to ply.
The food delivery rider mentioned that he got distracted as he was looking for his destination, thus finding himself in NLEX. Eventually, the motorist dropped off the delivery rider at a gas station.
Constantino and his companion are being lauded online as good Samaritans for their act of kindness.
As per the Toll Regulatory Board, motorcycles with an engine displacement below 400cc are not allowed on expressways. Violators will be faced with hefty fines.
