Grab suspends delivery riders posting homophobic remarks about BTS

As McDonald’s much-anticipated BTS meal goes live on the Grab app, screenshots of delivery riders posting homophobic insults against the Korean boyband trend online.

In response to this, Grab released a statement on Thursday about how they have zero tolerance for such behavior. The app has suspended delivery partners involved with the incident.

“Inclusivity is one of Grab’s core values, and we have a zero-tolerance policy for inexcusable behaviors,” the statement read.

Some Filipino ARMYs, aka BTS fans, have been calling to boycott the platform, encouraging fans to order from other apps instead.

“We hope that our consumers will not let the actions of a few select individuals affect the livelihoods of the many delivery partners who rely on Grab platform to support their families,” Grab said.

The statement did not specify how many delivery riders were involved and suspended from the incident.
