Some lanes along the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) will be closed temporarily from August 6 to 10 to give way to the launching of girders required for the LRT-1 Cavite extension project.
In a social media post on Monday, the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) said that lane closures as well as counterflow and stop-and-go schemes will be implemented along the northbound and southbound lanes of CAVITEX near Parañaque bridge.
The following traffic arrangement will be implemented on the expressway beginning Friday:

“Motorists are advised to allocate extra time for their commute on the said dates,” it said.
The 11.7-kilometer Cavite extension project is projected to service and benefit 800,000 passengers daily by cutting down travel time between Baclaran and Bacoor from one hour and 10 minutes to just about 25 minutes once completed.
