Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) has announced the release of the new 2023 Nissan Terra Sport, an additional variant of the brand’s popular midsize SUV. The new variant option is reserved for SUV buyers who don’t care for chrome trims, embodying a sportier look for the pickup platform Nissan vehicle.
The Terra Sport comes in both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations and features blacked-out exterior and interior components, giving the SUV a more aggressive look.
The Nissan Terra Sport’s exterior features a gloss black V-Motion grille, LED front fog lights with black accents, and an 18-inch gloss black alloy wheel with a more rugged design than the standard Terra. The interior has black leather seats with black accents and black chrome accents on the dashboard, door panels, and center console, complementing the dark theme of the exterior.
The Terra Sport’s tech and safety features include an 8-inch Nissan Advanced Touchscreen Display Audio with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and Intelligent Mobility, which includes features like Intelligent Around View Monitor (IAVM), Intelligent Emergency Braking (IEB), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).
The SUV is powered by the same 2.5-liter YD25DDTi turbodiesel engine capable of generating 187 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. It’s exclusively available with a 7-speed automatic transmission with manual mode. For the 4×4 model, a part-time 4WD shift-on-the-fly system takes care of the transfer case.
The Terra Sport’s price starts at Php 2,119,000 for the Sport 4×2 AT and goes up to Php 2,459,000 for the Sport 4×4 AT – both with Nissan’s class-leading 5-year warranty on parts and labor. The sporty variant is exclusively offered in two new colors, Stealth Pearl Gray and Fiery Red. The Terra Sport, along with the rest of the Terra range, is now available across all Nissan dealerships nationwide.
