Following the launch of the flagship full-size Range Rover last year, the Philippine market has welcomed the launch of the all-new 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport, now available in seven variants with prices starting at Php 13,490,000. The third-generation Range Rover Sport features an array of engine options, including the D300, D250, and D350, which use turbodiesel engines, while the P360 and P400 are gasoline-powered, and the P440e and P510e are hybrids. The top-tier P530 model, a performance-oriented SUV, is equipped with a P530 twin-turbo V8 engine.
The new model boasts a sleek, minimalist yet sophisticated design with a thin, black-colored grille that seamlessly integrates the headlamp clusters, with distinctive-looking LED daytime running lamps and sharp LED headlamps. Gloss black trim pieces adorn the mesh-type lower bumper, mid-level grille, and dual tailpipes, giving the vehicle an added touch of sportiness.
The interior of the new Range Rover Sport is no less impressive, featuring plush, leather-clad surfaces, 22-way power-adjustable front seats that provide ventilation, heating, and a massage function, as well as an automatic climate control system that employs PM2.5 filtration and the “nanoe” X technology. An active noise cancellation system further enhances the luxurious feel of the interior.
The vehicle also boasts impressive technological features, including a 13.1-inch curved Pivi Pro touchscreen head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 29-piece Meridian Signature sound system paired with a 1,430W amplifier. A 13.7-inch interactive driver display complements the main head unit, and the screens come with high-definition graphics and haptic feedback to aid drivers in controlling the displays without looking away from the road.
The new Range Rover Sport also includes an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, including emergency braking, a 360-degree 3D surround camera, wade sensing, adaptive cruise control, driver condition monitor, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, and more.
Finally, the vehicle offers an array of engine options, including the P510 variant’s 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo gasoline engine, which can produce up to 523 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, with a zero-to-100 km/h time of just 4.5 seconds. The P360 and P400 gasoline engines produce up to 355 and 395 horsepower, respectively, while the P440e and P510e hybrids provide electrified options.
“We are very excited to finally bring in the third-generation model of the new Range Rover Sport here in the Philippine market. It is truly the most desirable, advanced, and dynamically capable yet. Its design sophistication: Land Rover’s pioneering flexible MLA architecture delivers the highest levels of dynamism and the most powerful performance we have ever seen on Range Rover Sport. MLA Flex Architecture allows the flexibility to manage all powertrains (ICE, PHEV, and BEV) across the life of the vehicle as we transition into a new era of EV motoring,” said Chris Ward, President, Coventry Motors Corp.
