Inchcape Philippines, the distributor of Jeep vehicles in the local market, has officially unveiled the revamped Wrangler Unlimited Sport (4-door). This launch marks the return of the Sport trim, once discontinued but now making a comeback with an array of upgraded features.
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport, part of the global refresh rolled out in April 2023, retains the iconic boxy silhouette synonymous with the Wrangler lineage. However, it flaunts a refreshed exterior design, notably featuring a redesigned front fascia. The vehicle boasts a black-colored molded bumper adorned with a slightly bigger vertical slatted grille, flanked by LED reflector headlamps, daytime running lights, and front fog lamps, all contributing to its rugged aesthetic appeal.
Adorning the sides, the 2024 Wrangler Unlimited Sport rides on 17-inch Gray aluminum wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, a substantial upgrade from its predecessor’s simpler steelies. The rear view showcases practical elements such as a rear window wiper, LED taillights, and a full-size spare tire, complemented by the signature removable three-piece hardtop.
Stepping into the cabin, occupants are greeted by a slightly refined interior. Soft-touch surfaces with contrast accent stitching adorn the dashboard, exuding a sense of sophistication without compromising the Wrangler’s adventurous spirit. The centerpiece of the interior is the enlarged digital display, complemented by amenities such as a heated leather steering wheel, push-to-start button, and a seven-inch TFT color digital gauge cluster.
Technological advancements are evident with the introduction of a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, powered by Android operating software and Uconnect 5. This system boasts wireless Apple CarPlay, GPS navigation, and over-the-air updates, ensuring seamless connectivity and entertainment on the go. Safety remains paramount, with a suite of standard features including anti-lock braking, electronic stability control, and a rear camera, augmented by advanced driver assist systems like adaptive cruise control and full-speed forward collision warning. Added to the 2024 Sport variant are new side curtain airbags.
Under the hood, the 2024 Wrangler Unlimited Sport packs a punch with its 2.0-liter inline-4 engine, delivering 268 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel-drive system, this vehicle promises formidable off-road performance, further enhanced by a range of protective features including skid plates for the transmission, transfer case, and fuel tank.
Priced at Php 4,790,000, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport offers buyers a choice of vibrant colors including Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal, and Hydro Blue. To celebrate its return, Jeep Philippines is offering off-road-friendly half-doors to the first 50 buyers, adding an extra layer of excitement to the iconic Wrangler experience.
