Nissan PH Amplifies Local Presence with 4 New Models at PIMS 2024

Nissan Philippines fortifies its local presence with four new nameplates launched at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). With a theme, “Dare. Drive—the Future Redefined,” Nissan took the opportunity to demonstrate its ongoing commitment to innovation, electrification, and performance for the Filipino market. This year’s PIMS, featuring 17 automotive brands, provided the perfect stage for Nissan to showcase its latest advancements.

Among the highlights of Nissan’s display was the local debut of the Nissan Magnite. This small crossover made an immediate impact with its practical design and stylish appeal.

Aimed at first-time car buyers, the Magnite promises affordability without compromising on quality or performance, albeit official pricing has yet to be revealed. Its bold exterior design and well-appointed interior make it an ideal choice for Filipinos looking for a reliable yet fashionable everyday vehicle.

Nissan also reinforced its electrified lineup with the introduction of the Nissan X-Trail e-POWER, a model that builds on the momentum created by the Nissan Kicks e-POWER. The X-Trail e-POWER features Nissan’s innovative hybrid technology, offering a driving experience that blends power and efficiency.

Propelled by the electric motor with the gasoline engine working as a generator for the on-board battery, the X-Trail e-POWER provides the benefits of an EV without the need for charging, perfect for Filipinos seeking a practical, electrified option.

Adding to the excitement, Nissan teased an upcoming SUV model that reflects the brand’s daring spirit and commitment to redefining the driving experience. While details on this SUV remain under wraps, Nissan hinted at its bold design and advanced features, giving attendees a glimpse of the brand’s future direction.

The showstopper of Nissan’s booth, however, was the All-New Z NISMO, which celebrated 40 years of NISMO heritage. This high-performance sports car stole the spotlight with its aggressive styling and track-inspired features. The Z NISMO boasts an aerodynamic front and rear bumper, along with sleek 19×10 Dark Gray alloy wheels that enhance its sporty look. Inside, the car is outfitted with Recaro leather seats that offer both comfort and a racing-inspired aesthetic.

Under the hood, the Z NISMO is powered by a NISMO-tuned VR30DDTT engine, designed to deliver a more engaging and responsive driving experience. It also comes equipped with a Sports+ drive mode, unleashing the full potential of 420 horsepower and 521 Nm of torque.

Priced at  P4,688,000, the Z NISMO is now available for reservation, with deliveries expected to begin in January 2025. Buyers will have the option to choose from colors such as Stealth Pearl Gray and Passion Red, offering a personalized touch to this exclusive model.

“This year’s show has provided a valuable platform for us to showcase Nissan’s commitment to innovation and purposeful design as we celebrate 55 years in the Philippine market. Our lineup reflects our dedication to diverse customers, from the practical Magnite to the X-Trail e-POWER and the exciting Z NISMO. We look forward to introducing these vehicles to the Philippines and seeing how they resonate with our market,” said Yasuhisa Masuda, President of Nissan Philippines.

The 2024 Philippine International Motor Show runs from October 24 to 27 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, offering visitors the chance to explore Nissan’s daring lineup and witness firsthand the future of driving in the Philippines.
