Seven people were killed in a vehicular accident in Lubao, Pampanga on New Year’s Day.

CCTV footage showed a jeepney loaded with 22 passengers colliding with a pickup truck about to make a U-turn along Abad Santos Avenue in Brgy. San Agustin around 6 p.m. 

After the collision, the jeepney fell on its side on the opposite lane — eventually getting hit by an oncoming truck.

According to the Pampanga police, the driver of the jeepney lost control of the wheel when the incident occurred. 

Seven people were rushed to the Pampanga Medical Specialist Hospital while two were taken to the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital in San Fernando, Pampanga. – Joy Cantos
