Chevrolet unveils powerful Colorado variant

The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), exclusive importer and distributor of Chevrolet automobiles and parts in the country, recently added to its Colorado portfolio with the unveiling of the Trail Boss.

The Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss is powered by an inline four-cylinder 2.8-liter Duramax VG Turbo that delivers 200hp and 500Nm.

Launched at the Cebu Auto Show 2019 last September 13 at the Sky Hall SM Seaside City Cebu, the Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss “provides an exciting opportunity for Filipinos to experience the next level of adventure,” according to Atty. Alberto Arcilla, president and chief executive officer of TCCCI.“For more than 100 years, Chevrolet has relentlessly brought to the global stage legendary and dependable trucks that are built to last,” he added.

In a release, TCCCI said that the Colorado Trail Boss boasts “a powerful drivetrain, superior performance and bold American styling will make daily commutes and weekend adventures more exhilarating by enabling drivers to overcome challenging obstacles along the way.”

The pickup is powered by an inline four-cylinder 2.8-liter Duramax VG Turbo that delivers 200hp and 500Nm of torque. It is mated with a six-speed automatic transmission, and a 4×2 drivetrain. The Colorado Trail Boss has a 800mm water-wading capability, one-ton payload capacity, and three-ton towing capacity. 

Its bold design reflects American truck heritage.  It hasa tough sport bar, aggressive fascia with black Chevrolet bowtie badging on a black grille, sport alloy wheels with 18-inch tires, a Colorado black decal on the tailgate, and a Trail Boss badge.

A Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system provides plug-and-play smartphone connectivity with available Apple CarPlayand Android Autointegration, and electric power steering that provides convenience, accuracy and sharp control. 

The new Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss comes with an array of safety features, including dual airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, limited slip differential, and engine immobilizer. 

Backed by the Chevrolet Complete Care Program, the Trail Boss comes with a special five-year warranty coverage: three-year bumper-to-bumper warranty plus a two-year warranty on the powertrain or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. Chevrolet owners are automatically enrolled in the 24/7 Chevrolet Emergency Roadside Support for three years, with an option to renew on the fourth year of ownership. They are also given access to the 24/7 Customer Care Hotline and are guaranteed one-hour express service for select services and non-stop service in select service centers. TCCCI also offers a limited-time offer of free preventive maintenance service for the pickup truck for the first two years of ownership, or 40,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. The promo is valid until September 30, 2019. 

The new Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss is now available in all authorized Chevrolet dealerships nationwide for P1,368,888.
