Meet the men and women at the heart of Pilipinas shell

True to its purpose of serving the Filipino community, Shell continues to operate and power the country amid trying times. Meet some of our frontliners who keep working to drive ‘service’ to another level and a few of our COVID-19 project beneficiaries who continuously challenge us to live up to our commitment to be with Filipinos in all of their life journeys.

 Our Shell Frontliners

At the height of the community quarantine, Shell retail stations across the nation remain open every day. Ma. Teresa “Master” Nievas is one of the forecourt service champions who made sure that we can serve Filipinos during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Just like Master, another Shell frontliner,  Teddy Madlangbayan, a helideck assistant at Malampaya Platform, knows that fulfiling his duties is critical in powering the nation.

 People from Communities we Support

Shell cares for the well-being of its partner communities, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through  its collaboration with the Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (PSFI), Shell has now reached almost 800,000 Filipinos including frontliners, seamstresses, farmers and fisherfolk. One of them is seamstress Leonisa Papa.

To date, Leonisa and other seamstresses have produced more than 8,000 PPEs.

Meanwhile, Paul Jefferson Yu, a nurse from Davao, is grateful for the fuel support that Shell has extended to medical frontliners like him. The Southern Philippines Medical Center where Paul Jefferson works, is one of the recipients of  the almost four million liters of discounted fuels which helped transport healthcare workers and other critical goods.

“I was assigned as food and accommodation coordinator in our area. So big help talaga yung free voucher ng Shell sa fuel expenses in the transportation of our food and equipment.  As a healthcare worker, it’s my sworn duty to work according to the highest standards with or without this pandemic. I must do my part for our community and country.”

Ma Teresa Nierras

Paul Jefferson, Leonisa, Teddy and Master are only some of the inspiring men and women of Shell whose resilience and commitment, inspire us in the toughest of times.

Basta sama-sama, kakayanin natin ‘to.
