Suzuki presents strong-selling lineup at MIAS Wired

Needless to say, the pandemic has hampered the Philippine automotive sales in 2020. With limited marketing activities and auto shows, the industry wasn’t at its peak deep into the year, but now it’s showing signs of slow recovery. Suzuki Philippines is one of those brands that have been striving towards the new normal, garnering over 10,000 vehicle unit sales in October amid the opening of quarantine restrictions, especially in Metro Manila.

In place of the postponed Manila International Auto Show, which usually happens every April at World Trade Center, Suzuki joins MIAS Wired, the first online version of the popular motor show. And of course, highlighted in Suzuki’s virtual showroom are its bestsellers: the all-new XL7 MPV and S-Presso hatchback, as well as the upgraded Ertiga MPV, Dzire sedan, and Jimny SUV.

Introduced at the onset of the pandemic, the XL7 and S-Presso were both introduced online, offering different types of mobility that are specific for their intended usages.

The XL7 stands as the SUV version of the Ertiga MPV, providing seven seats in a sporty package. The S-Presso, on the other hand, replaces the Alto 800 in Suzuki Philippines’ lineup as the entry-level model. It differs from its predecessor, though, as it boasts crossover styling and a sizable 180mm ground clearance, perfect for in-city plights and cruises.

The Suzuki Dzire, on the other hand, is a subcompact sedan and the three-box version of the Swift hatchback. Apart from having a separate trunk for the cargo hold, the Dzire also benefits from the automated-manual transmission called Auto Gear Shift (AGS), which combines the simplicity of manual transmission and the convenience of automatics.

The Jimny SUV caters to a niche market of off-roaders and fashionable buyers alike, combining nostalgic styling and renowned off-roading capability.

Lastly, the Ertiga remains as Suzuki Philippines’ bestseller, which offers practicality and ample space for the whole family without breaking the bank. For the 2020 model year, the Ertiga gets redesigned two-tone alloy wheels, a digital automatic climate control system, and a new center armrest at the second row.
