Jaguar charges its way to MIAS Wired virtual auto show

Jaguar Philippines, through the distributorship of All British Cars, highlights two of its latest cars in the lineup for the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), known this year as the MIAS Wired.

Jaguar is known for its British-made automobiles that exude excitement in its segment and this year, the company introduced opposite ends of the spectrum — the new F-Type and the I-Pace EV.

The 2021 F-Type is the British marque’s two-door coupe, pegged to be a worthy successor to the E-Type coupe from the ‘60s. The sports car features an award-winning design, fronted by its slim pixel LED headlights and signature Calligraphy daytime running lights.

One of the distinguishing features of the refreshed F-Type is its bigger grille that accentuates the clamshell hood. Residing in this hood is either a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-banger that makes 300hp and 400 Nm of torque, or a 575-hp supercharged V8 for the F-Type R — available on an indent order only basis.

At the other end of the spectrum is the Jaguar I-Pace electric SUV — the first local EV offering from the British automaker. The award-winning I-Pace uses a new platform for the inclusion of a battery, and is said to offer optimized performance, aerodynamics, and interior space.

Getting motivation from two electric motors placed at each axle, the I-Pace EV can produce a total output of 400hp and 696Nm of torque. The 90-kWh lithium-ion battery is positioned in between the axles, allowing the I-Pace to have a 50:50 weight distribution. The SUV can reach up to 470 kilometers in one single charge.

Apart from the two new vehicles added to the Jaguar Philippines’ lineup, All British Cars is also offering up to a P1.3-million discount for the F-Pace luxury SUV.
