Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) finished 2020 strong with a 30% increase in retail sales last December. The number two automotive brand in the country raked in a total of 4,195 unit sales to close the year.
Spearheading the charge was the Mitsubishi Xpander. The number 1 selling 7-seater MPV generated a total of 1,472 unit sales. A 57% improvement versus its November performance. Following in 2nd is the luxurious 7-seater SUV, Mitsubishi Montero Sport with 957 units sold. The proudly Filipino made Mirage G4 came in 3rd with 911 units.
Interesting to note is that the iconic Mitsubishi Pajero also flexed its muscle by selling 47 units, a 147% increase compared to its previous month. The dependable workhorse Mitsubishi L300 also reflected a strong showing with 478 units sold, resulting to a 30% growth.
“December was indeed a good month for Mitsubishi Motors. We are grateful for the continuous patronage of the public to our brand. The strong support from the market inspires us to work even harder to provide better products and service,” MMPC president and CEO Mutsuhiro Oshikiri said.
