New 7-seat Audi Q7 luxury SUV arrives in PH

The new Audi Q7 full-size SUV arrives in the Philippines with thoroughly updated styling and technical features while also offering luxurious accommodations for seven people, as well as superb dynamics and riding comfort.

Besides its seven-seat configuration, some of the highlights of the new Audi Q7 are its quattro all-wheel drive, adaptive air suspension, mild hybrid technology, updated digital operating system, and HD Matrix LED headlights. These, as well as other features of the full-size luxury SUV, can be presented via the Audi Live View, a digital luxury experience that lets clients engage in real time via a smartphone with an Audi product expert who is at an Audi Philippines showroom.

Providing spacious seating for seven, the new Audi Q7 combines immense prestige with practical everyday qualities. Its new design results in the full-size luxury SUV getting 11 millimeters longer, increasing the model’s length to 5,063 millimeters. It measures 1,970 millimeters wide and 1,741 millimeters high.

The new Audi Q7’s interior is longer than those of its direct competitors, and offers more headroom and elbow room in the front and rear as well. Power-latching soft-closing doors, a host of storage compartments, a new compartment in the instrument panel, a high load capacity, and an electric tailgate provide plenty of functional utility. All three rows of seats can be moved individually fore and aft, with seatbacks that can be adjusted.

Also fitted to the new Audi Q7’s interior, the Audi virtual cockpit plus that features a high-resolution color driver information display, MMI navigation plus with MMI touch response, three-spoke leather-covered multifunction plus steering wheel with paddle shifters, a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, ambient LED lighting package, and four-zone automatic air-conditioning.

With a more robust styling, the new Audi Q7 is marked by the SUV elements of Audi’s current design language. The large Singleframe grille with six upright slats makes the full-size SUV look even more powerful. The two-part side air inlets and sill area have a much more expressive line, underscoring the vehicle’s ground clearance and off-road capabilities. The light signature of the headlamps’ HD Matrix LED technology emphasize the width of the model, while the restyled rear’s chrome strip and flat taillights with technical-looking graphics connect with the body’s horizontal line. Complementing the refreshed styling are 20-inch cast aluminum wheels in 5-V spoke turbine design.

Powering the new Audi Q7 is a 3.0 liter TDI V6 turbocharged diesel engine that makes 286 hp and 600 Nm. Sending the engine’s output to the quattro all-wheel drive system is an eight-speed tiptronic transmission. Making the engine more efficient is a mild hybrid system that uses a belt alternator starter to power a 48-volt main electrical system, in which a compact lithium-ion battery stores the energy. The system can recover energy during braking, then uses this to allow the vehicle to coast for up to 40 seconds with the engine switched off. The engine restarts immediately soon as the accelerator is pressed.
