Ford Philippines is expanding its 4×4 pickup truck portfolio with the launch of the new Ford Ranger Raptor X.
“The Ranger Raptor X leverages on the immense success of the Ranger Raptor in the market as we continue to boost our 4×4 truck lineup and reach a new group of performance pickup enthusiasts who are into aesthetic modifications,” Ford Philippines managing director Michael Breen said.
First launched in 2018, the Ranger Raptor builds on the success of the tough, versatile, and capable Ranger pickup. A key member of the Ford Performance family, the Ranger Raptor has since become one of the biggest-selling pickup trucks in the country and has created a legion of proud owners and fans.
The Raptor X is a limited-edition Raptor that features unique design elements and exterior upgrades that give it a rugged, aggressive, and sporty look.
Some of the Raptor X’s unique features include the striking over-the-top (OTT) body stripes covering the bonnet, roof and tailgate with a ‘Carbon Twill Texture in Matte Black’ framed with a Searing Red Keyline Graphic and side body stripe decal covering side doors and rear quarter panel. Additionally, the grille, door handles, bumper cover, tailgate handle, fender vent, and fog light bezel have been given a matte black finish.
The Raptor X also comes equipped with an extended leg sports bar, red front tow hooks, and matte black wheels with 33-inch BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires.
Inside, there are body-contoured sport seats that now comes standard in the Raptor X with red stitching throughout the interior and chrome accents on the AC vents for a more premium look. Meanwhile, hydrographic and Black Alley accents across the dashboard round out the interior enhancements.
Beyond its cosmetic upgrades, the Raptor X remains powered by the 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel engine capable of generating 213PS of power and 500NM of torque, and 10-speed transmission that has proven durability and on-road and off-road capability.
It also comes with the cutting-edge Terrain Management System (TMS) offering six modes for various driving experiences including the Baja mode, as well as 2.5-inch FOX Racing shocks capable of delivering 30% more wheel travel compared to the standard Ranger.
The Raptor X comes in three striking colors that include Arctic White, Conquer Gray, and Performance Blue. It is available in Ford dealerships starting July at PHP2,038,000, with 200 units to be sold throughout the year.
Ford PH now offers Wildtrak 4×4 with power roller shutter
Ford Philippines has also announced the official availability of the new Ford Ranger Wildtrak 4×4 with power roller shutter. A new feature available on the Wildtrak 4×4, the power roller shutter is a segment-first original equipment manufactured product from Ford that offers greater security and functionality when transporting cargo.
“At Ford, we remain committed to designing products and services that are attuned to customer’s needs and lifestyles. With the power roller shutter, our customers can enjoy added protection, convenience and safety with a feature bearing the Ford quality DNA,” adds Breen.
Boasting of a sleeker and cleaner profile than most aftermarket offerings, the power roller shutter can be activated from inside the cabin through a switch on the dashboard, via a button in the tray, or by using the key fob. It has also been designed with an anti-pinch feature to prevent injury or damage when contact is made with an object.
The Ranger Wildtrak 4×4 with power roller shutter is available at an introductory price of PHP1,728,000 starting June 22 in Ford dealerships nationwide.
