After testing their virtual racing skills via online drag racing, The 8 celebrity racers were divided into two teams to test their teamwork and camaraderie.
Team Acceleration is led by Michelle Dee who chose Marco Gumabao, Kim Baranda and Vitto Marquez as part of her team while Joshua Dionisio heads Team Power, with Patricia Reyes, Cherizawa and Simon Javier.
After their first team challenge, which is GITI Tires -Tire Change Challenge, Team Power emerged as the winner, leading the challenge with 3 seconds ahead of Team Acceleration.
Being the more competitive team, Team Acceleration was not so happy about it but plans to recoup and show that they can make it up on the next round.
Meanwhile, the more relaxed group Team Power wasn’t expecting to win the challenge but shared that good communication is the reason why they won.
Team Power and Team Acceleration moves forward with their first on track race, Phoenix Fuels Go-Kart Challenge. Each team should strive to carry as much momentum as much as possible around the track in most instances.
The challenges are getting bigger and harder as they move up to more pulse-racing action all for becoming Phoenix PULSE Young Driver’s Program-Celebrity Showdown Champion!
