Practical benefits such as extended equipment life, reduced costs, lower downtime and higher productivity. These were the desired outcomes pinpointed by professionals when they choose the ideal industrial Hydraulic oil.
In an online meeting held last October 20 and hosted by Castrol and its Philippine partner North Trend Marketing Corp. (NMTC), customers were invited to provide their insights on what they require from Hydraulic oil used in their processes, most of which have an immense need for dependable mechanical functioning.
Castrol’s Technical Services Manager Industrial for Asia Pacific Nikos Dimopoulos was on hand to give his expert advice on Castrol’s Hyspin AWS, the worldwide leader’s range of highly refined mineral oil enhanced with a stabilised zinc additive system. Hyspin AWS is designed for use in industrial hydraulic systems that require extra care to protect against wear, while protecting the equipment against the stresses of industrial heavy-duty use.
Unlike conventional hydraulic oils, Castrol Hyspin AWS has good thermal and oxidative stability, excellent anti-wear performance to increase wear protection, good filterability characteristics, and excellent water separation and hydrolytic stability.
Joining Mr. Dimopoulus was Engr. Rex Gurrea, the Distributor Chief Engineer (Lubes Division) of NMTC. Testimonials from clients Arnel Catalan of Karzai Corporation and James Pogoy of Premacor were presented during the online meeting.
It was pointed out that Castrol Hyspin AWS has several qualities that can reduce downtime and maintenance costs on equipment. The careful blend of additives with a high quality base stock ensures excellent hydrolytic and oxidative stability while minimizing the production of sludge and deposits. In addition, its use provides corrosion protection to ferrous and yellow metal components found within a hydraulic system.
The Castrol Hyspin AWS range is designed for use in industrial hydraulic systems which require anti- wear protection such as lightly loaded gears, variable speed units and bearings. It is compatible with the most commonly used nitrile, silicone and fluropolymer seal materials.
It comes in nine viscosity grades, ranging from ISO VG 10 to 220. North Trend Marketing Corporation distributes Castrol industrial products nationwide.
