The Geely Coolray has been a phenomenal crossover since it was launched in 2019. It was packed with tech that was previously unseen at its price point while covering it up with sleek styling. It even propelled the brand into the 10th spot for overall sales in 2021.
Maximizing the charisma of their first-born, Geely is bringing two new iterations of the Coolray at the 2022 Manila International Auto Show. One is built on an existing variant while the other has a new look up front.
Coolray GT Limited Edition
The Coolray is far from being demure in its stock form, but Geely Fairview wants to show just how far you can mod it while maintaining a clean look. They’ve pimped the mid-variant Coolray Premium with some sporty touches that include carbon-fiber garnishes on the front and rear bumper, bigger and wider 19-inch XXR wheels, a stepboard, and a black roof.
What’s really neat is they’ve added a few performance bits, too. It has a bigger brake kit with red calipers, Drift Xaust exhaust system with carbon-fiber tips, and a K&N intake. You can even bump up the Coolray’s output to 200 horsepower if you avail of the optional chip upgrade. All in all, the Coolray GT Limited Edition is a P200,000 kit on top of the Coolray Premium and is only available in Geely Fairview.
Facelifted Coolray
It’s not a proper debut yet but Geely Philippines is bringing the facelifted Coolray at MIAS 2022 as a teaser. It has a revised grille, a new accent just below it that extends to the foglight housing, and new wheel design. It’s also said to have a new headlight sequence on startup while inside there will be a bigger touchscreen at the center of the dash.
More details about the new Coolray will be revealed at the event itself including prices and possible launch date.
