The Rush joins the GR-S lineup of Toyota

Toyota Motor Philippines made things official – the Toyota Rush joins the ranks of the Vios, Corolla Altis, and Corolla Cross among others to have the GR-S badge. It was first previewed during the Auto Focus Test Drive Festival but now the full details are here.

As with other GR-S badged Toyota, the Rush comes with variant exclusive touches on the front bumper, rear spoiler, and side moldings. It will come in three colors – Dark Red Mica Metallic, Black Metallic, and White.

There are no changes underneath the metal of the Toyota Rush. It’s still powered by the same 1.5-liter engine that’s paired to a 4-speed automatic. Amenities remain the same with it having a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and 8 speaker system. Safety bits include smart keyless entry, front, front side, and curtain shield airbags; rear sensors, rear camera, traction control, and hill start assist.

“The Toyota Rush has been a preferred SUV for young people seeking to fully live their active lifestyle with a car that can keep up with their desire to break away from the everyday,” said Sherwin Chualim, TMP’s First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations. “That is why it is very fitting that the Rush now comes with a GR-S variant that follows TGR’s philosophy of pushing the limits for better. For our customers, this means added thrill, excitement, and style in their everyday drives.”

The new Toyota Rush GR-S replaces the G variant but retains the P1,176,000 srp.
