Ford Philippines Wins Three Awards From 19th Philippine Quill Awards

Ford Philippines received three (3) awards from the recently concluded 19th Philippine Quill Awards for its communications programs and initiatives.

Two Excellence Awards were given to Ford for the launch of the all-new Ford Territory (Communication Management: Marketing, Advertising, and Brand Communication category) and the Ford RangeHER program (Communication Management: Diversity and Inclusion category). Ford also received a Merit Award for the Henry Ford Awards (Communication Skills: Special and Experiential Events category). All three programs were launched and rolled out at the height of the pandemic in 2020 and 2021.

The launch of the all-new Ford Territory was one of the biggest vehicle launches in the industry in 2020 and paved the way for Ford to strengthen its presence in the highly-competitive SUV segment in the market. The launch was highlighted by virtual engagements with key stakeholders, creating massive public awareness and engagement that made the Ford Territory a household name across a wide range of vehicle buyers.

Meanwhile, the Ford RangeHER program aimed at building an emotional connection among female consumers and improve favorable opinion towards the Ford Ranger as a pick-up truck that does not solely cater to the needs of male customers. Led by actress and advocate Iza Calzado and beauty queen Rachel Peters, the RangeHER program demonstrated the role of strong and empowered women in supporting underprivileged communities and advocating travels that cater to every woman’s spirit of adventure.

Lastly, the 20th Henry Ford Awards Winners Night not only celebrated a momentous milestone for motoring journalists in the Philippines but also took the opportunity to give special recognition to those who went beyond the call of duty to help others with the Go Further Changemaker Award. The Awards Night also pivoted to the digital platform to honor the contributions of automotive journalists to the industry while observing proper safety and distancing protocols.

“We thank the Board of Judges of the 19th Philippine Quill Awards for recognizing our programs. Launching a campaign during the first two years of the pandemic was challenging but equally rewarding with the results and feedback we received from our stakeholders,” says EJ Francisco, Director for Communications, Ford Philippines and Asia Pacific Distributor Markets. “We are motivated even further to execute communications initiatives that resonate and are relevant to our audiences.”

According to its website, the Philippine Quill is the country’s most prestigious awards program in the field of business communication. It has been bestowing the seal of approval to the most reputable organizations and corporations in the nation for almost two decades, emphasizing the use of excellent communication to achieve business goals, and to make a difference in society. It is organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines.
