Peugeot caps off impressive 2022

Peugeot capped off an impressive year under its new distributor, Astara. The French auto brand announced a record year, finishing 2022 with a 285% year-on-year increase. This cements them as the fastest growing auto brand in the country.

“It’s been a remarkable year for us, from beginning to end, and we’re extremely proud of how the allure of the Peugeot brand and our vehicles connect with so many Filipino customers. We’re grateful for the positive response of the market, for the investment and commitment of our dealers, and for the support of our friends in the media who helped share our story in 2022,” said Maricar Parco, Brand Head of Peugeot Philippines.

The remarkable growth of Peugeot has led Astara to expand the dealership network across the country. So far, there are now 13 operational dealerships in the Philippines: Alabang, Balintawak, Makati, Manila Bay, Pasig, and Quezon Avenue in Metro Manila; Bulacan, Pampanga, Sta. Rosa – Laguna, and Batangas in Luzon; Cebu and Negros (Bacolod) in Visayas; and Davao in Mindanao.

In the coming months, they will be joined by Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro bringing the Peugeot brand closer to 18 dealerships by the end of 2023.

“We’re ramping up our efforts to grow our network aggressively in 2023, and key to that is identifying new dealer partners who share our vision of building the Peugeot brand further in the Philippines,” added Parco.

Fueled by this impressive growth, Parco also revealed the brand’s high-level priorities this year.

Plans include the addition of new variants to their existing product range, particularly for the Peugeot 3008, Peugeot 5008, and Peugeot Traveller in the second quarter. Furthermore, by the fourth quarter, Peugeot will launch an all-new model that “offers Filipino customers a premium choice in a segment dominated by Asian and American brands.”

Along with the new product announcements, Parco also announced steps to improve Peugeot’s service reliability and parts availability. Stellantis, the parent company of Peugeot, has accredited Eurorepar Car Service as supplier for maintenance parts beginning the first quarter of this year. With Eurorepar’s proven reliability and full range of replacement parts, Peugeot owners with out-of-warranty vehicles now have an option for more reasonably priced parts and can continue to enjoy Peugeot service at authorized service centers.

Moreover, Peugeot will launch its Emergency Roadside Assistance or ERA program. Supported by Ibero Asistencia, a global provider of roadside assistance services, the ERA program will cover vehicle recovery, towing, fuel delivery, flat tire replacement, locksmith service, and battery boosting among services. Every brand-new vehicle purchased beginning in the first quarter of this year will be covered by one-year free ERA.

Finally, this January, Peugeot is bringing back its Easy-Own program that offers various financing options with low interest rates.

As a further enticement to purchase a brand-new Peugeot, the company will fly two lucky winners and their plus one to France to witness the Peugeot 9X8 Hypercar take on the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.
