Peugeot previews e-2008 EV at MIAS along with new 3008, 5008 variants

Peugeot is making strides towards electrification globally, and it has reached the Philippine market as well with the public preview of the Peugeot e-2008. The vehicle serves as a symbol of Peugeot’s electrification initiative for the market, with plans to introduce new models and technologies to its range.

The brand’s ultimate goal is to provide as many people as possible access to electrified mobility, as stated by Peugeot Philippines Brand Head Maricar Parco. The Peugeot e-2008 is an important part of this initiative and serves as a glimpse into Peugeot’s future plans.

Stellantis, the parent company of Peugeot, is also committed to providing more sustainable mobility options for customers and exceeding their expectations. Daniel Gonzalez, COO for ASEAN & General Distributors, said that the company’s Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan includes becoming an industry leader in the fight against climate change. To achieve this, Stellantis aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions globally by 2038 and introduce more than 75 Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) by 2030.

Globally, Peugeot is targeting a fully electric lineup in Europe by 2030, further demonstrating the brand’s commitment to electrification. With the introduction of the Peugeot e-2008 and other upcoming electrified models, Peugeot is paving the way for a greener and more sustainable future in the automotive industry.

New Peugeot 3008 and 5008 variants

During the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), Peugeot Philippines introduced new variants of the Peugeot 3008 and 5008. The brand’s commitment to providing Filipinos with a European car that delivers pure exhilaration was reaffirmed by Parco.

The Active and Allure variants are now available, allowing customers to choose the best match for their lifestyle needs. The Peugeot 3008 Active is priced at P2,090,000, and the Peugeot 5008 Active is priced at P2,275,000.

At the MIAS, both Active and Allure variants will be on display, and customers can test drive the Peugeot 2008, 3008, and 5008 SUVs.

Additionally, Peugeot is offering extra discounts on top of current promo offers for all vehicle reservations made at the MIAS or any Peugeot dealership from April 13 to 16, 2023, along with low-interest financing plans in partnership with Security Bank. Furthermore, new vehicles purchased will come with one-year free emergency roadside assistance provided by Ibero Asistencia, a global provider of roadside assistance services.

Peugeot PH’s growth

Managed by Astara, one of the world’s biggest automotive distributors and mobility companies, Peugeot Philippines has been on an upward growth trajectory since its launch in January 2022. In the last 12 months, the company has made significant progress in bringing European-grade premium vehicles closer to more Filipinos, just as Peugeot is known for in the world. The company delivered a record performance in 2022, achieving 285% overall retail sales growth year-over-year and opening more showrooms and service centers across the country.

Five new dealer locations are set to open in the second quarter of this year in Bulacan, Makati, Manila Bay, Pasig, and Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Moreover, the company plans to expand its network further and aims to end 2023 with 18 operational showrooms and service centers nationwide.

In addition to expanding its network, Peugeot Philippines has also taken steps to improve service reliability and parts availability in all its service centers. Eurorepar Car Service has been accredited by Stellantis as its supplier for maintenance parts beginning in the first quarter of this year, ensuring that Peugeot owners with out-of-warranty vehicles can continue to enjoy Peugeot service at authorized service centers while having the option for more reasonably priced parts with Eurorepar’s full range of replacement parts.
