The Asean Federation for Electric Vehicle Associations (AFEVA) made a resounding impact at the recently concluded 8th Electric Vehicle Asia 2023, held at the prestigious Queen Sirikit National Convention Center on August 30, 2023. Comprising several member organizations, AFEVA exhibited an impressive collective presence at this pivotal event.
AFEVA is an umbrella organization that brings together electric vehicle associations from various ASEAN countries, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange within the electric mobility sector. Member associations include EVAP (Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines), EVAT (Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand), EVAM (Electric Vehicle Association of Malaysia), EVAS (Electric Vehicle Association of Singapore), and Periklindo (Perkumpulan Industri Kendaraan Listrik Indonesia).
Among these associations, EVAP, representing the Philippines, stood out with the largest delegation. This delegation included not only EVAP officers but also individual members, charging station suppliers, and manufacturers. Rommel Juan, Chairman of EVAP, lauded the successful participation of the EVAP delegation at the event.
“The 8th Electric Vehicle Asia 2023 provided an invaluable platform for networking and learning. Our delegation engaged with experts and innovators in the electric vehicle industry, absorbing insights from various talks and presentations,” remarked Rommel Juan.
This strong presence at the event reflects AFEVA’s commitment to advancing the electric vehicle landscape in the ASEAN region. It underscores the collaborative spirit of AFEVA’s member associations, who are dedicated to driving sustainable transportation solutions and fostering the growth of electric mobility.
The timing of AFEVA’s active participation in the 8th Electric Vehicle Asia 2023 is particularly significant as EVAP gears up for its own momentous event — the 11th EV Summit. The 11th EV Summit is scheduled to take place in Manila at the SMX Convention Center in MOA from October 19 to 21, 2023. This forthcoming summit promises to be a focal point for industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts, offering a platform for the exchange of ideas and the exploration of new opportunities in the electric mobility sector.
As AFEVA continues to strengthen its presence and collaboration within the ASEAN region, these engagements serve as pivotal moments for shaping the future of electric mobility in Southeast Asia.
