Suzuki PH Showcases Dynamic Commercial Vehicle Lineup at the 2024 Philippine Commercial Vehicle Show

Suzuki Philippines proudly showcased its dynamic commercial vehicle lineup at the 2024 Philippine Commercial Vehicle Show (PCVS), which was held at the SMX Convention Center Manila from July 18 to 20, 2024.  

On display were the innovative Ertiga Hybrid GA dressed as a Taxi, the people carrier Carry PUV Class 1, the practical Carry Utility Van (UV), and the dependable APV GA. Each of these vehicles exemplifies Suzuki’s commitment to delivering efficiency, reliability, and functionality, making them ideal choices for commercial use in the dynamic and demanding Philippine market.

The Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid GA Taxi: A fleet operators best investment

The Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid GA, displayed at the PCVS 2024, has been specially modified into a 5-seater Taxi. This variant maintains the same specifications as the standard GA model but is uniquely configured to accommodate five passengers, ensuring ample space and comfort for both driver and passengers with expanded luggage space. 

The Ertiga Hybrid GA Taxi features a hybrid powertrain that combines a fuel-efficient gasoline engine with an electric motor, offering enhanced fuel economy and reduced emissions. This makes it an ideal choice for taxi operators seeking to minimize operating costs while contributing to environmental sustainability.

The Ertiga Hybrid also boasts modern amenities and safety features, ensuring a comfortable and secure ride. While the Ertiga Hybrid GA Taxi showcases Suzuki’s innovative approach to sustainable and efficient commercial transport solutions, it is important to note that this particular model is currently not for sale and is exclusively for display only at the 2024 PCVS.

The Suzuki APV GA: A versatile and practical transport solution

The Suzuki APV is a versatile and practical multi-purpose vehicle, especially well-suited for commercial use and a variety of applications. Its exterior design features a reassuring bonnet, a flowing extended silhouette, and a thick bumper with flared fenders, providing a robust and professional look that can withstand the demands of daily operations.

The APV is powered by a 1.6L gasoline engine, delivering a maximum power of 91hp at 5,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 127 Nm at 4,500 rpm connected to a five-speed manual transmission.

For businesses, the ample storage space is a key advantage. The APV offers expanded luggage capacity and multiple storage options, making it ideal for transporting goods, equipment, or supplies. Its roomy cabin can be reconfigured with foldable seats, allowing for a flexible layout to accommodate either passengers or additional cargo space as needed. This adaptability is particularly beneficial for delivery services, shuttle operations, and small-scale logistics.

Inside, the APV features a 1DIN audio unit with AUX and USB connectivity, ensuring that drivers and passengers can stay connected and entertained during long hours on the road. The APV GA also comes with front dual airbags.

The Suzuki Carry: A cost-effective commercial workhorse

The Suzuki Carry, showcased at the 2024 PCVS, is a robust and fuel-efficient vehicle designed with commercial use in mind. Its lightweight engine boasts small displacement yet delivers reliable power and torque, making it ideal for hauling an assortment of items while remaining fuel-efficient. 

This ensures businesses can rely on it for cost-effective and powerful performance. The cabin of the Suzuki Carry is both comfortable and functional, featuring comfortable seating, ample storage space, and a sliding driver’s seat.  

At the 2024 PCVS, two versions of the Carry were highlighted: the PUV Class 1 and the Utility Van. The Carry PUV Class 1, maintains the core specifications of other Carry variants. It is designed to serve the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVM) under the Class 1 category. This specific Carry can seat up to 10 people, including the driver, making it suitable for passenger transport services. It will soon be available among the standard variants of the Suzuki Carry. 

On the other hand, the Carry Utility Van has 50/50 split-folding rear seats on both sides for flexibility in providing more cargo space when needed. It also comes with a step board on the rear for easier ingress and egress for passengers. Moreover, the Carry Utility Van has a 70/30 split back door with a heavy-duty lock.

The Suzuki Carry’s combination of strong performance, reliability, and versatile loading capacity makes it an excellent choice for various commercial applications, from delivery and logistics to passenger transport, ensuring businesses have a dependable vehicle to meet their needs.
