Volvo, a global leader in sustainability and safety, is expanding its impact beyond mobility by investing in communities and future leaders. Volvo Philippines has partnered with Fort Bonifacio Development Foundation Inc. (FBDFI) to support educational initiatives that empower young Filipinos to shape a sustainable future.
As part of this partnership, Volvo donated the all-electric C40 Recharge, which was auctioned at the Passio FBDFI 2024 Gala Night. Proceeds from the auction support the Bayani Scholars Program, funding the education of promising students and providing relief to communities affected by Typhoon Kristine. This initiative aligns with Volvo’s commitment to fostering a sustainable future by investing in the next generation.
Auction Highlights
The C40 Recharge was awarded to a distinguished supporter of FBDFI’s mission. Their generous bid will fund scholarships and aid typhoon relief efforts, directly benefiting scholars and affected communities. Volvo Philippines extends its gratitude to the winning bidder for sharing its vision of a more inclusive future.
“At Volvo, we believe education can transform lives and uplift communities,” said Ms. Maria Fe Perez Agudo, President of Volvo Philippines. “We see Volvo vehicles as more than just transportation—they represent our commitment to a better world.”
Educational Programs for Sustainable Progress
Volvo’s collaboration with FBDFI focuses on supporting educational programs that pave the way for future change-makers. The Bayani Scholarship provides ₱100,000 per student annually, covering up to four years of tertiary education. The Adopt-A-Classroom initiative upgrades public school classrooms in Taguig, raising ₱150,000 per classroom to improve learning environments for students and teachers.
“Partnering with FBDFI, Volvo is investing in future leaders who will drive sustainable change,” said Ms. Agudo. “Supporting their journey is a privilege that aligns deeply with our values.”
Through this partnership, Volvo is fostering positive, lasting impact by empowering future leaders and aligning with its vision for a sustainable, inclusive world.
