Bentley introduces new Mulliner Hybrid pinnacle models

Bentley Motors has released the Mulliner versions of the Continental GT, GTC and Flying Spur that are all equipped with the marque’s Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain. In crafting the new models, Bentley’s Mulliner bespoke division added even more options and luxury details to the performance-focused Speed models.

The new Mulliner range of Speed models is distinguished by bespoke craftsmanship, increased wellness features, and additional technology — befitting its position as having the pinnacle models of each of Bentley’s newest product families.

The models’ exterior is marked by the new Mulliner signature “Floating Diamond” grille, accentuated by either chrome details surrounding the car. These are complemented by satin silver mirror caps. These pieces can come in gloss black, too, through the Mulliner Blackline. Also specific the Mulliner range are 22-inch wheels in Tungsten Grey, or gloss black.

Welcome and Coming Home light sequences are fitted to thel Mulliner models, as are red-tinted tail lamps (replacing the gray-tinted lamps of the Speed).

The Mulliner models’ sumptuously trimmed cockpit boasts of accent color piping and unique Mulliner embroidery on the hand-stitched seats, illuminated outer tread plates, and deep-pile mats. Other features include Wellness seating with Postural Adjust and Auto Climate to the front seats (and in the rear of the Flying Spur), and LED instrument panel.

The Ultra Performance Hybrid system in the Mulliner Speed models of the Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, and Flying Spur combines a new 4.0-liter V8 engine with an electric motor. Together, it produces 782 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. This new powertrain delivers extreme performance and sets the latest Bentleys apart from their competition through more horsepower, more torque, and a significant drop in CO2 and fuel consumption figures.

When switched to pure EV mode, the Continental GT can travel up to 81 kilometers on electric power alone while the Flying Spur can reach 76 kilometers. The models’ battery can be fully replenished in less than three hours, thanks to significant improvements in charger and battery capacity.
