Tesla launched its first official Tesla Center in the Philippines last Monday, with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. gracing the event, lauding the company for investing in the Philippines and trusting the government’s forward-thinking policies and innovation drive.
In his speech, President Marcos pointed out that the Philippine’s infrastructure and policies support the industry and its aspiration for more utilization of Electric Vehicles (EVs).
“Tesla’s decision to invest in the Philippines is a recognition of our nation’s potential, underpinned by forward-thinking policies and a collective determination to innovate,” President Marcos said.
“As Tesla lays a groundwork, and as we invest in infrastructure and implement policies supporting the industry, competition will grow. Then, what may seem as aspirational today – half of the vehicles in our streets as EVs – will become attainable tomorrow,” he added.
The launch of Tesla Center marks a significant milestone of Tesla’s commitment to drive adoption of electric vehicles in the Philippines.
Operated directly by Tesla, the Tesla Center at Uptown Parade consists of the Tesla Philippines’ head office, the experience center, the delivery hub, and after-sales service support, providing a comprehensive and one-stop experience.
“Tesla enables the use of electric vehicles by providing a comprehensive and seamless Tesla Experience directly in the Philippines. Tesla Charging Network and services are available and operated 24/7 to serve Tesla owners. We will keep putting the best efforts to further invest in charging infrastructure and hire locals to transcend Philippines towards sustainable energy.” said Isabel Fan, Regional Director of Tesla Philippines.
Tesla Philippines officially launched and commissioned the first Supercharging Station on November 8, 2024. In just two months, on January 20, 2025, Tesla launched the official Tesla Center and started its first deliveries of the Model 3, marking a significant step forward in electric vehicles ownership and sustainable development in the Philippines.
