Audi redefined high performance with the RS Avant wagon model lines. The brand continues to set the benchmark in this class with the introduction of its most powerful wagon ever — the new Audi RS 6 Avant Performance, now available at Audi Philippines.
This latest version enhances the already formidable RS 6 Avant, receiving more power, sharper dynamics, and refined design elements that further set the model apart.
Further proof of the model’s high-performance capabilities is that none other than four-time Formula One world champion Max Verstappen, when not competing in any of the world’s top racetracks, prefers to drive an RS 6 Avant.
Which is not surprising. Because powering the new RS 6 Avant Performance is a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo TFSI engine that now delivers an astounding 630 hp and 850 Nm of torque. The increase in power comes from the model’s larger turbochargers capable of higher boost pressure — now up to 2.6 bar.
The refinement enables the new RS 6 Avant Performance to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.4 seconds. Top speed is 305 km/h.
Audi also fine-tuned the model’s quattro all-wheel-drive system, leading to sharper handling and higher agility. The engine’s output is distributed dynamically between the front and rear axles, ensuring maximum traction in all driving conditions. The standard eight-speed Tiptronic transmission has also been optimized for quicker shifts, ensuring seamless power delivery whether on the highway or winding back roads.
Less insulation throughout the RS 6 Avant Performance lightens it by eight kilograms, all while producing a more thrilling soundtrack inside the cabin. Wheels markedly lighter mean further weight reduction, in the process increasing performance.
Communicating the enhanced power and handling is a bolder design. The new RS 6 Avant Performance stands out with RS-specific exterior details such as wider fenders, large air intakes, and more prominent aerodynamic elements.
