A freak vehicular accident killed one person and injured six others in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Tuesday afternoon.
A closed-circuit television footage captured the moment when a white Mitsubishi Montero went on reverse after its driver lost control of the vehicle.
Witnesses said that they heard a loud noise after the driver started the engine of the SUV, which eventually pinned people in front of a store along busy Raon Street.
“Pag-start nila ng sasakyan, biglang umungol ang makina at hindi nila ma-control at umatras nang pagkabilis-bilis at pagkalakas-lakas na natamaan ang mga biktima,” Magdaluyo said.
The victims were rushed to nearby hospitals while the driver is now in the custody of the police.
