Blaupunkt’s science for cleaner air

New normal measures require us to adjust to a more healthier and cleaner lifestyle. Our daily commute have also changed as we adopt to changes to counter COVID-19.

Blaupunkt, a renowned German brand, has introduced into the local market an in-car purifier. In coordination with the health experts and scientists, the AirPure AP 1.0 was engineered and designed to reduce, if not eradicate, harmful airborne particles inside the car’s cabin by way of a three-step filtration system.

It captures big particles such as human hair, pet dander, dust and removes the fine particles suc as allergens, microorganisms, bacteria, viruses and pollen. Aside from that, it also activates the carbon filter that removes strong odors, volatile organic compounds, hazardous gases that are present in the car’s foam, upholstery, adhesive, carpet, coating and composite wood.

The cylindrical shaped filter comes with a replacement filter and a cable that connects the machine to your car’s USB port/lighter charger. Blaupunkt’s AirPure AP 1.0 is a plug and play device, and it can be mounted to your car’s cupholders.

Aside from its filters, the AirPure also has an ultraviolet lamp that turns on when the machine is activated. It serves to stop the growth of airborne bacteria, while the filter whirs along to suck in everything else it can. There’s also an option of adding a few drops of an aromatic scent to freshen up your interior.
