Audi Philippines achieved record-breaking sales of more than 200 units for January and February, a notable feat in the highly competitive automotive luxury segment. The German brand with four rings saw a strong demand for its bestselling models in the Philippine market, particularly the luxury sedan Audi A4 and the award-winning Audi Q5.
The luxury car segment in the Philippines remains to be optimistic as vehicle sales increased in January and February, despite the multiple challenges the Philippine automotive industry has been facing since last year. The luxury car segment experienced a significant 17-percent growth from last year’s first two months.
Globally, the premium automobile sector continues to thrive as brands maintain investment on their cars’ technological advancements. Meanwhile, the Philippines has seen the introduction of new models in the market, bringing innovative technological features, which have contributed to the spike in the sales of the luxury car segment.
Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Lexus are the top players in the Philippine premium car market. Audi leads this segment with sales of 203 units in January and February of this year, taking in 39 percent of the market share. The Audi Q5 emerged as the bestselling model of Audi as the brand with four rings was able to deliver 94 units of the model in January and February.
BMW followed with 122 units sold, while Mercedes-Benz registered 97 units delivered. Japanese luxury car brand Lexus closely trails with 93 units sold for the first two months of the year.
