Mazda Philippines refines its premium all-hybrid CX-60 line-up, offering a comprehensive suite of updates that enhances its performance and comfort. This builds on the CX-60’s class-leading style, quality, and refinement that has made it the leading edge of the Mazda Premium philosophy.

“Since its launch in the Philippines, more than 800 CX-60 SUVs have been sold. This makes the Philippines the largest market for the CX-60 in Asia outside of Japan, a testament to it being well-received by Filipino buyers,” said Steven Tan, President and CEO of Mazda Philippines. “The new CX-60 enriches that by offering new refinements, making it even more unmatched in every way. These are much more than skin-deep, and is part of our commitment to continuous improvement.”
The new CX-60 has been polished to perfect the Mazda Jinba Ittai experience of car and driver in complete harmony. The ride experience has been significantly enhanced, with no sacrifice to the first-rate driving experience. The rear suspension has softer rear springs and new bump stops for improved compliance, while the dampers with increased rebound rates help control vertical motion. The front suspension features dampers with firmer front compression rates and relocated front knuckle mounts for better stability, especially on rough roads. A recalibrated steering and stability systems also improve overall balance.

The new suspension set-up complements the Large Vehicle Platform. This front-engine rear-wheel drive mechanical layout delivers imposing strength and elegance, but also maximizes the driver’s potential by distributing the lateral and longitudinal workload between the two axles. Furthermore, by placing the powertrain units at the center, it transmits power to the road surface more efficiently. The unique packaging has reduced its turning radius to a compact 5.4 meters, smaller than other similarly-sized SUVs.
The Skyactiv-Drive eight-speed automatic has been augmented in the new CX-60, with clutch control and hydraulic valve improvements. This results in even smoother and more responsive combustion-engine-to-electric motor transitions and a wider gear range for the best balance of enjoyable driving dynamics and environmental performance.
Powering the new CX-60 is a family of inline-six-cylinder engines, available in both gasoline and diesel variants. This configuration produces less vibration due to its characteristic ‘perfect balance’ helping it deliver both a smooth and quiet engine tone at low speeds, and a clean and engaging sound at full song. Developed using the ‘right sizing’ concept, the 3.3-liter e-Skyactiv-G delivers 284 PS and 450 Nm, while the 3.3-liter e-Skyactiv-D offers 254 PS and 550 Nm.

Both engines utilize the Mazda Hybrid technology with a 48-volt hybrid system with lithium-ion battery pack.
The cabin continues to set new standards for interior quality, design, and technology. New on the CX-60 are additional refinements to its already impressive levels of Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH). The sound insulator material used on the dashboard is thicker and denser, with increased coverage that now includes the upper part of the cowl. The same is applied with the trunk side trim which has increased sound insulator coverage compared to before. A new steering column joint and reinforced doors also reduce unwanted interior vibrations.
The interior design concept steadfastly puts focus on the highest level of Japanese craftsmanship and ergonomics. The wide instrument panel has continuous lines which run through the cabin, while the horizontally symmetrical layout is centered around the driver to deliver the same carefully considered cockpit design.
Three main displays—a 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s instrument panel, a 12.3-inch infotainment center display, and a 10.4-inch heads-up display places everything right where it is needed. Meanwhile, the Mazda Commander Control knob has been optimally positioned to allow its operation with the user’s arm resting comfortably on the center arm rest.
The Driver Personalization System, an innovation unique to Mazda, makes it easy for drivers to achieve their ideal driving position. After entering the driver’s height data via the infotainment center display, the automatic driving position guide uses a camera to detect the location of their eyes. It then automatically adjusts the seat, steering wheel, Active Driving Display, and door mirrors to match the driver’s eye position.
The system also uses facial recognition to remember each driver’s preferences. Once the driver is detected, the Mazda CX-60 automatically restores more than 250 stored settings to match their preferences, including vehicle, audio, and climate control settings. The system stores settings for up to six different users, plus guests.
Both variants offer a frameless auto-dimming rear-view mirror, front seat ventilation, wireless device charging, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone climate control with rear vents. The 3.3 AWD HEV Turbo features aluminum and silver metallic accents, black nappa leather seats, and black leather interior upholstery. The 3.3 AWD HEV Turbo-D Sport, meanwhile, offers graphite and gun metal accents, and tan nappa leather seats with quilted Leganu suede inserts.
The latest generation Mazda Connect allows passengers to connect wirelessly via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while a 12-speaker Bose Sound system delivers expanded liveliness and reinforced low pitch for a full auditory experience.
Beauty through subtraction distills the Mazda CX-60’s design to its purest form. It is an SUV with ideal proportions, with the long hood and rearward cabin design. The powerful grille with its iconic wing shape is highlighted by sweeping adaptive LED headlamps, featuring a distinctive lighting signature for a sleek look.
All Mazda CX-60 variants feature crafted 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels with 235/50R20 tires, a panoramic sunroof, and a hands-free power tailgate with height memory adjustment. The 3.3 AWD HEV Turbo showcases the signature Mazda design with its machine-cut alloy wheels, bar-type grille, bright chrome on the front fenders, side window moulding, and exhaust finishers. Meanwhile, the 3.3 AWD HEV Turbo-D Sport conveys a distinguished look with its black metallic alloy wheels, dark honeycomb grille, dark side window moulding, dark exhaust garnish, and black side view mirrors.
With color forming a central tenet to Mazda’s design, the new Mazda CX-60 is available in three Takuminuri colors: Rhodium White Premium, Soul Red Crystal, and Machine Gray. The other available colors are: Jet Black, Sonic Silver, Platinum Quartz, and Deep Crystal Blue.
