It may be small, but might just yield terrible results.
With that in mind, a portion of a road in Manila has been closed off to buses after a tiny hole emerged on Sunday.
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic czar Bong Nebrija said that their enforcers discovered the tiny hole in front of a convenience store along P. Ocampo street near Roxas Boulevard.
“Don’t be deceived by this hole about six inches in width. Small as it may look it’s almost five feet deep.,” Nebrija said in a Facebook post.
He added that they are still coordinating with the Department of Public Works and Highways. The MMDA traffic czar said that buses plying the street are being redirected to Quirino Avenue in order to prevent a similar incident that happened at a portion of Remedios street.
A portion of Remedios street gave in and created a sinkhole after a truck loaded with sand passed over it. That road has remained inaccessible to motorists and is estimated to be repaired for a month.
